Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone!
Welcome to my all-new, all-different1 webpage, blog, gallery, etc. and thank you for taking a look at my humble site. Eventually there will be much more content here but, for the time being, I thought it best to introduce myself and what I do.
My name is Stuart Thomas and I paint miniatures like these2:

For the uninitiated, that is a plastic Warhammer miniature, produced by Games Workshop, and measures approximately 40mm from his feet to to the tops of his little horns. Like thousands of others, my thing is to to turn bare grey plastic into something that looks cool! I’ve been doing this since 1987, both for a hobby and as a professional, including when I worked for Games Workshop as part of their in-house painting team, known as ‘eavy Metal. These days I paint for my own pleasure as well as painting stuff to sell online in my Ebay store and for private commissions.
So, the plan on this here page is to post regular updates on my endeavours in the field of miniature painting. Look out for upcoming galleries of my commissions and personal work, as well as tutorials, painting guides and other random stuff that occasionally occurs to me! Obviously the main focus will be, for now, all about miniature painting but I have been known to dabble in writing and drawing, so I may inflict that work on you too, depending on how confident I feel about it! There may also be reviews and recommendations of products I use or minis I’ve painted, cool websites and resources, competitions, givaways, shout-outs to people I’ve met, places I’ve been, shops, journeys, cheese, etc.3
So, onwards and upwards, outwards and through! If you’ve read this far, thank you, and I’d love it if you continue to do so. While not a beginner to onliney things, I am somewhat of a hapless amateur in the digital realm, so feel free to come forward with any comments or criticisms, recommendations or requests you have! Please do the likey subscribey stuff and check out my socials at the bottom of the page for semi regular updates!
Thanks for reading!

- Okay, that’s not strictly true… ↩︎
- Lordy, that sounds like I’m visiting a support group… ↩︎
- You know, the self-indulgent non-hobby stuff that people put on their hobby blogs and that hobbyists roll their eyes and scroll past. I’ll try to keep that sort of blather to separate posts so at least you don’t have to read through reams of nonsense before getting to the point- looking at you, recipe posts… ↩︎
